Der Nationalrat hat beschlossen:
1. Der Abschluss des gegenständlichen Staatsvertrages wird gemäß Art. 50 Abs. 1 Z 1 B-VG genehmigt.
2. Dieser Staatsvertrag ist im Sinne des Art. 50 Abs. 2 Z 4 B-VG durch Erlassung von Gesetzen zu erfüllen.

Die vom Bundespräsidenten unterzeichnete und vom Bundeskanzler gegengezeichnete Annahmeurkunde wurde am 21. Dezember 2017 beim Generalsekretär der Vereinten Nationen hinterlegt; die Doha-Änderung tritt gemäß ihrem Art. 2 nach Maßgabe der Art. 20 und 21 des Protokolls von Kyoto1 mit 31. Dezember 2020 in Kraft.
Nach Mitteilungen des Generalsekretärs der Vereinten Nationen haben bis zum 2. Oktober 2020 folgende weitere Staaten sowie folgende Organisation die Doha-Änderung angenommen bzw. sind ihr beigetreten:
Ägypten, Algerien, Angola, Antigua und Barbuda, Argentinien, Armenien, Aserbaidschan, Äthiopien, Australien, Bahamas, Bangladesch, Barbados, Belgien, Belize2, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivien, Botsuana, Brasilien, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgarien, Burkina Faso, Chile, China (einschließlich der Sonderverwaltungsregionen Hongkong und Macao), Cook Inseln, Costa Rica, Dänemark (ohne Färöer und Grönland), Deutschland, Dominica, Dominikanische Republik, Dschibuti, Ecuador, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estland, Eswatini, Europäische Union2, Fidschi, Finnland, Frankreich2, Gabun, Gambia, Georgien, Ghana, Grenada, Griechenland, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Honduras, Indien, Indonesien, Irland, Island, Italien2, Jamaika, Jordanien, Kambodscha, Kenia, Kiribati, Komoren, Kongo, Republik Korea, Kroatien, Kuba, Kuwait, Demokratische Volksrepublik Laos, Lesotho, Lettland, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Litauen, Luxemburg, Madagaskar, Malawi, Malaysia, Malediven, Mali, Malta...
