Multilateral Agreement ADN/M 019under section 1.5.1 of the Regulations annexed to ADNon the carriage of heavy heating oil in tank vessels
| 1. | By derogation from paragraph 7.2.4.25.5 of the Regulations annexed to ADN, it is not necessary to return ashore the gas/air mixtures released during loading, while loading UN 3082 ENVIRONMENTALLY HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE, LIQUID, N.O.S. (HEAVY HEATING OIL) at loading facilities that have not yet been equipped with a vapour return piping by 31 December 2016. |
| 2. | In this case, by derogation from 7.2.4.16.10 of the Regulations annexed to ADN, cargo tanks may be opened using the devices for the safe depressurization of the cargo tanks referred to in 9.3.2.22.4 (a) or 9.3.3.22.4 (a) of the Regulations annexed to ADN. By derogation from 9.3.2.22.4 (a) third indent or 9.3.3.22.4 (a) third indent of the Regulations annexed to ADN, this device does not need to be fitted with a fire-resistant flame-arrester. The area within the a radius of 2.00 m around an outlet shall be marked as danger area. |
| 3. | This Agreement shall be valid until 31 December 2021 for the carriage on the territories of those ADN Contracting Parties signatory to this Agreement.If it is revoked in whole or in part before that date by one of the signatories, it shall remain valid until the above mentioned date only for carriage on the territories of those ADN Contracting Parties signatory to this Agreement which have not revoked it. |
