Multilateral Agreement ADN/M025
under section 1.5.1 ADN
concerning ADN specialized knowledge certificates in accordance with 8.2.2.8. of ADN
and safety adviser certificates in accordance with 1.8.3.7 of ADN
| 1. | By derogation from the provisions of 8.2.2.8.3 and 8.2.2.8.4 of ADN all ADN specialized knowledge certificates the validity of which ends between 1 March 2020 and 1 December 2020 remain valid until 31 December 2020. These certificates shall be renewed for five years if their holder furnishes the proof required in 8.2.2.8.4 a) of ADN and if necessary in 8.2.2.8.4 b), before 1 January 2021. The new period of validity shall begin with the original date of expiry of the certificate to be renewed. |
| 2. | Documents in accordance with 8.2.1.9 and 8.2.1.10 recognized as equivalent to the specialized knowledge certificates, shall be accepted under the same conditions as defined in paragraph one of this multilateral agreement. They remain to be considered as equivalent if they are renewed before 1 December 2020 at the conditions defined by the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers. |
| 3. | By derogation from the provisions of 1.8.3.16.1 of ADN all certificates of training as safety adviser for the transport of dangerous goods the validity of which ends between 1 March 2020 and 1 November 2020 remain valid until 30 November 2020. The validity of these certificates shall be extended from their original date of expiry, for five years if their holders have passed an examination in accordance with 1.8.3.16.2 of ADN before 1 December 2020. |
| 4. | This agreement shall be valid until 1 December 2020 for carriage on the territories of the ADN Contracting Parties signatory to this Agreement. If it is revoked before that date by one of the signatories, it shall remain valid until the above-mentioned date only for carriage on the territories of those ADN Contracting Parties signatory to this Agreement which have not revoked it. |
